The next funding application window will be opening on Monday 6th of March and closing at 5.00pm on Friday 31st of March 2017.
Further application windows will be available in 2017 and dates will be announced shortly.

 

Personal Development Plan & Application Form

Clients must be registered with Farming Connect and receive their individual username and password from the Service Centre to access the BOSS website.
The application form to apply for the 80% funding for short training courses will be available on the BOSS website when the application window opens, which is the same website clients can complete their Personal Development Plan and e-learning courses.

 

Main Programme Changes
Category 1 Courses – Transformational is now called - Business Improvement. There are several courses available for 80% funding under this category aimed at improving individual skills and knowledge to help drive businesses forward including Financial Recording & VAT, Business planning and development and Marketing your business.  
A new course for Rodent Control on Farms has been added to the list of approved courses for 2017. More information on all approved courses and training providers can be found on the website.
 Some eligible clients* who are under the age of 40 on the date of submitting an application can now access 5 instances of training within a 12 month period, however they can still only access 1 Category 3 – Machinery & Equipment Use course.

E-learning
There are a total of 20 e-learning courses available to registered clients to complete in the comfort of your own home and at a time that suites you. E-learning is a great way to brush up on existing skills or develop brand new ones in 20 minute bite size learning. To see all courses available click on the website below, log in using the username and password supplied by the Service Centre and select Farming Connect e-learning.

*Eligible clients are those who are registered from a Full farming or forestry business, a new entrant or an individual from a Niche farming / forestry system. The 5 instances of training is not available to individuals registered as a student who is not attached to a farming / forestry business, individuals registered as self-employed or contractors.
