Sioned Davies

Sioned Davies was selected as one of the first members of the Agri Academy Junior Programme when she was just 16.  Brought up on the family beef, sheep and contracting farm in Powys, Sioned has always enjoyed rural life to the full, and has held a number of positions with the YFC at local, county and national level.

Now studying for a degree in Agri-Food Marketing with Business Studies at Harper Adams University, Sioned is currently spending a year out in industry as part of her course.  Based in Manchester, her 12 month placement as an agri-marketing coordinator for one of the UK’s major retail companies has given her an insider’s view of the importance of the supply chain and the processes involved from farm to fork.  Sioned is also keen to demonstrate her entrepreneurial skills.  Together with new young business partners including her brother, she’s hoping the group will soon be ready to launch a new lamb meatball range.

“Being part of the Agri Academy was an experience I'll never forget, not only because of the friendships I’ve made, but also the variety of business skills and ideas we were able to develop throughout the process.”
