This is a 2 day training course with an integrated assessment.
A British Wool certificate will be awarded upon successful completion.
Available for applicants who have previously completed a machine sheep shearing course through the Farming Connect Programme and now wish to undertake a more advanced course to build upon and improve upon the skills they already have.

The Machine Sheep Shearing will give you the information to be able to set up, maintain, lubricate and adjust shearing equipment for safe and proper working, according to the manufacturer’s handbook. Handle sheep with due regard for animal welfare and personal safety. Shear sheep in a competent manner unassisted to the quality and quantitative standards as required by the BWMB certification scheme. Present the wool product for sale, understanding the importance of factors which affect its value.
