This is a 1 day training course with integrated assessment. Upon completion you will be issued with a certificate.

This qualification is recognised by Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) as acceptable at the point-of-sale for professional use rodenticide. Successful completion of this qualification will enable you to purchase professional rodenticides.

Following changes to the CRRU UK Code of Best Practice, training is no longer acceptable evidence of competence for the purchase of professional rodenticide. People who wish to gain proof of competence will now need to pass a regulated qualification such as the Level 2 Award in Rodent Management. Upon completion you will receive an Ofqual accredited certificate

Rodent control is essential on farm, rats and mice spread disease and contaminate food stuffs.

Rodent control is a key job in many agricultural businesses. However, ensuring the management of rat and mouse problems is both humane and effective requires specific training. The course involves a balanced mix of theory and practical sessions. You will learn both preventative and curative control methods. You'll learn how to implement and monitor an appropriate control programme. Assessing and using the most efficient and safe methods with due regard to the environment will be central to what you learn. Key legislation and how to use, transport and safely dispose of rodenticides will also be covered.

Please note that the outline, duration and image for each course are a guide only. Please contact the training provider for more information.
