Typically a 2 day training course with an assessment on a different day. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion.
PA1 = This qualification meets the legal requirements of the Control of Pesticides Regulations and lets you work unsupervised in the industry. To achieve this qualification you'll show your knowledge of the Approved Code of Practice for Plant Protection Products. You are required to complete this course before completing practical courses in particular pesticide application.
PA2 = Candidates must have attended a Safe Use of Pesticides training course and/or hold an NPTC Certificate of Competence in the Safe Use of Pesticides (PA1) Foundation Unit. This course is a necessity for all those involved in operating and maintaining hydraulic nozzle and rotary atomiser type field crop sprayers. The course looks at how to prepare your equipment, the maintenance of it and its safe operation and calibration.
