Welsh Speaker - Hello, my name is Catherine and I am delighted to be a Business Wales mentor.  My passion and belief in mentoring stem from witnessing first-hand the transformational impact it can have.  I enjoy supporting others, especially when perhaps things are not going quite to plan in their lives or perhaps they want to take a new career direction. There are occasions when someone may need encouragement to keep going with their business venture or perhaps a confidence boosting 1:1 chat to remind them of their worth. Perhaps that’s you? 

I worked for an international blue chip company for over 30 years before setting up my own business. I have lived and worked in a number of countries all over the world. My background and experience covers Man Management, Sales and Marketing, Training and Corporate Affairs.

I am very passionate about Training and Development and have been a mentor many times as I find it very rewarding and enjoyable.

I'm Catrin, a business consultant with a varied background and expertise in operations, leadership, and customer experience. My colleagues say I have a big-picture view, a commitment to excellence, supporting others, and coaching. I'm equally comfortable leading teams or managing organisational changes.
                 

Studied Business Studies at Plymouth University and graduated with High Upper Class Honours Degree. It was a 4-year degree course covered all aspects of business and gave me plentiful knowledge of important facets such as accounting, marketing and operations. I have also worked extensively in retail, been a marketing assistant for a multi-national organisation and held a high level sales position selling high value goods. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and my dream has always been to have my own family business.

I have a particular experience of small and medium size businesses. Why? Because I have successfully created and brought to maturity three such service businesses of my own. So, I haven't just been a consultant or academic giving theoretical advice – I've actually been there, done it and got the tee shirt.  Although my businesses were radically different businesses, for me the core requirements of running such a business are the same. Firstly, you've got to keep a close eye on the 'business basics' and secondly you have to think out of the box.

Learning & development professional with strong business acumen and over 20 years’ experience.  I specialise in managing the complete training cycle (ADDIE - analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). 

Winner of various marketing and business awards, Cleopatra Browne has a keen interest in digital marketing and website development. Armed with an unnerving passion and enthusiasm, Cleopatra has taken her business Celtic Quest Coasteering Ltd from one woman and a van, to the Best Visitor Experience in Wales - National Tourism Awards 2013.

An experienced Non-Executive Director, working as part of team to help deliver the organisations objectives, and able to bring commercial acumen to bear. Over 20 years Project Management [member of Association of Project Management] and Team Management experience, covering financial services and garden fencing!

Craig has worked within the electrical and construction industry for over 20 years, starting as an electrician via a 5-year apprentice scheme with British Steel in Newport. Where he specialised in the maintenance and installation of electrical systems. Spent time working at a Nuclear Power Station for a few years as a technician.

Qualified chartered Surveyor and sit as a Trustee on St David’s Hospice board, Cwt Gwyrdd Dementia Day Centre and Great Raft Run, Menai Bridge. Governor in Ysgol Tryfan, Bangor. Committee member Menai Bridge Rugby Club.
