Having qualified as a biochemist, Andy started his career in the food industry before moving to healthcare in 1980 in the field of diabetes testing. He has worked for several mutli-national companies in senior sales and marketing roles before returning to the food industry in 1992 with Welsh company Biotrace. 

I mentor on a part-time basis in Wales and around my main role in the media industry based in London.   The energy in early-stage start-ups is infectious and where my advice can have the most impact.  

Like many people my career led me to a wide variety of business situations.  After a dozen years in the Army I gained experience in managing specialist manufacturing for the print industry, in implementing warehouse management software and in 20 years of global supply chain management for medical device companies.  Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) became the day-job while complex projects including acquisitions, integrations, ERP systems and technical manufacturing transfers provided a wealth of exposure to different organisations and business cultures.

I have recently retired from The Prince’s Trust Cymru where I worked for 13 years as an Enterprise Manager supporting young people with a business idea to set up their own business. I was also Volunteering & Secondments Manager training volunteers to mentor these young people.

 Before taking up a secondment with the Trust I worked for 24 years for Barclays Bank where my many roles included Performance Coaching and Branch Manager.

A chartered Fellow of the IPD with a master’s degree in HRM and CMI level 7 in Strategic management and leadership.

I’m a marketing and business strategist with over 10 years of experience from corporate environments to startup companies.
My current main role is Relationship manager at an advisory firm specializing in securing growth funding for B2B SaaS businesses. In this role, I’m responsible for the marketing and business development functions, including client and partner relations, and work with some of UK’s highest performing tech businesses, most established entrepreneurs and industry experts in the field.

Bestselling Author, Speaker, Business Strategist, Bernie Davies, has trained hundreds of Businesses from the Private and Public Sector, as far back as 2009. She has trained in-house for Cardiff Council Economic Development Team, Johnson &  Johnson, Welsh Language Board, Chwarae Teg Agile Nation Project, 4Ward Development to name a few. Bernie has singlehandedly delivered countless monthly, sell-out Training seminars to multiple hundreds of Businesses in South Wales. She regularly sits on Awards Judging panels as a Business Specialist.

Beverley Jones describes 2009 as her 'annus horribilis'; a year that saw her crash out of her 30 years corporate career diagnosed with depression and severe anxiety. Her ‘burnout period’ lasted a year, and in August 2010 she opened the doors to her coaching business, Awaken. Beverley’s experience has led her to now live her vision and her dream of becoming a published author and successful business owner. It’s through these avenues that she continues to help many others understand that riches start within and not in the material, physical world.

I have:

Extensive HR experience in large national and international companies directly responsible, in some cases, for up to 40 members of staff.
Successfully tendered for Welsh Government contracts to deliver the Workforce Development Programme; Investors in People; SME Equality Project and various other programmes.

In 1979 I started my career in engineering, with practical based training in an apprenticeship. I worked my way up the ladder and in 1988 qualified as an engineer.
My experience since qualifying has varied, as follows:
-    Since 1989 in electro-mechanical design & development engineer roles where concept clarification, design & development, and life-time cost analysis goes hand-in-hand. Several roles involved team-leader responsibilities, including workload distribution, hiring & firing.
