- Karen has a background in agricultural research – joining ADAS to work within the research team based at ADAS Rosemaund in Herefordshire.
- Research work focussed mainly on ruminant livestock (beef, sheep and red deer) covering ruminant production systems, animal nutrition, animal welfare, meat quality and meat hygiene.
- Currently works withing the livestock team with a particular interest in ruminant production systems.
- Experienced in data collection and analysis for research projects and quantitative and qualitative surveys and reporting results to clients and farmers
- Experienced in the use of Agrecalc to carry out carbon footprint and development of action plans for farmers. Recent examples include work for AHDB strategic farms and Farming Connect
