Farming Connect offers an extensive array of support for farming businesses to benchmark their physical and financial performance.

Benchmarking will enable you to gain a better understanding of how your business is performing and to help create a strong and confident business and sector for future generations.

One of the support systems available through Farming Connect is the Measure to Manage online tool – which is an innovative and interactive approach to benchmarking, allowing red meat businesses to collect and record physical and financial data in order to benchmark performance year- on- year.

Farming Connect are offering Measure to Manage workshops to explain to you how to use the Measure to Manage online tool to its full potential to benchmark your business performance.

For more information on these workshops or to book a space, please click here or contact your local Development Officer.

Farming Connect also have a Measure to Manage E-learning module that can be completed in your own time and revisited at any time to assist with the use of the Measure to Manage online tool.

The benchmarking notepads available through Farming Connect allow you to record and collect live data on your farm while you’re on the go, and can be easily transferred to the Measure to Manage online tool.

The Farming Connect Advisory Service offers up to 80% funding towards business planning advice and benchmarking support.

In addition, Farming Connect discussion groups provide an opportunity to learn from other business owners, to discuss challenges and consider opportunities as well as finding new or improved ways of doing things. All members of a discussion group are required to benchmark their physical and financial performance against similar businesses.
