Sustainable Farming: Hedgerow Management Cycle

In Wales 53% of all field boundaries are hedgerows adding to rural distinctiveness. There is great diversity in Welsh hedgerows, from gorse hedges on coastal stone-faced banks, to the skilled laid hedges of inland areas. There is a rich cultural skill base and heritage associated with these. The goal of hedge management for successful sustainability and added environmental impacts is to create a thick dense hedgerow. This module is an introduction to hedgerow management.
