This is a 1 day training course with a certificate awarded following completion.

Do you keep sheep ? You can find out if they have worms or parasites by carrying out a faecal egg count.
It is well documented that farmers need to reduce their reliance on sheep wormers as continued use over a long period of time will reduce the effectiveness of the wormer used and the parasites and worms become resistant.
By attending this course, you can learn how detecting and controlling the problem can help save you time and money.
This course will cover the basics of worm control in sheep by helping you to understand  the       lifecycle   of worms, how to use a faecal egg count tool and the importance of testing at different times of the year. What the faecal egg count can say about the health of your flock. A brief overview will be given in relation to how faecal egg counts are carried out and the various options for testing. Finally to administer the most appropriate treatment ONLY if needed.

Please note that the outline, duration and image for each course are a guide only. Please contact the training provider for more information.
