Parasite Control Planner
The parasite control planner has been developed to focus both farmer and vet on the important factors involved specifically with health planning for parasite control in cattle and sheep. It has been developed in a format that makes it very visual and allows it to be interactive between vet and farmer. It ensures that parasite control considers management events for the herd or flock, allows for the assessment of at-risk pastures, advises timing of surveillance testing, advises set treatments or suggestions for wormer group choice if treatment is deemed necessary based on risk or test results.
The tool allows vets to demonstrate to farmers how an effective parasite control plan can work for their individual business to manage decisions for parasite control measures, showing their effectiveness for forward planning for the year ahead.
