This course is a 3-hour training workshop and a certificate of attendance will be issued on completion of the workshop. Workshops are delivered by local vet practices pan Wales.
Workshop attendees will learn about the current situation with Sheep Scab including the welfare and economic impact. The lifecycles and clinical signs associated with Sheep Scab, Lice, and Liver Fluke are covered. The main focus will be on effective biosecurity, appropriate treatment options and the importance of veterinary consultation for diagnostics and to formulate parasite control plans for individual farms. The risks from common grazing and treatment resistance will be highlighted.
