This course aims to help you understand the rational for introducing   the dynamic and interactive Animal Health Improvement Cycle (AHIC) as means for practicing the ‘prevention is better than cure’ mantra as part of animal health management. The idea with these ‘new’ health, welfare and sustainability focused cycles being to increase collaboration with vets, to help shape and advise on plans in an ongoing and adaptable way, towards helping farms improve, achieve, and maintain high health, performance and welfare standards in Wales, understand their baselines and work towards success within key performance indicators.
