Farming in Protected Sites requires a sensitive approach to agriculture. This module highlights the support available to farmers and the challenges of conserving some of Wales’ most important landscapes, habitats and species. In Wales, more than 80% of the land is used for farming and a further 15% for forestry. In amongst this land lies Protected Sites which require specific rules and regulations to manage them effectively and preserve Wales’ natural resources.
