Overview: Drones are widely used in the agricultural sector and have many uses which improve efficiency, lower costs, and play a significant part in the drive towards Net Zero. Drone laws allow small drones to be used almost anywhere without the need for the costly CAA drone license and due to the rural, unpopulated environment in agriculture, these laws also allow larger drones to be used without requiring the costly license.
Aim: This course will teach Learners how to use a drone safely, efficiently, and legally in the agricultural environment whilst maximising the use of technology to carry out traditional tasks.
Method: This course teaches the basics of safety, drone flying and the many agricultural uses for drones. The Learner will be taught an array of new skills which will improve safety and provide a more efficient and environmentally friendly way of carrying out agricultural jobs. The course is aimed at farm owners and employees. For a worker in the sector, this course will make them stand out from their peers in the job market. The skills and knowledge gained will help their farms succeed in the competitive and economically harsh farming sector.
