What made you decide to become a farmer?

I was lucky to be born into farming and after going away to university and going on placement to an agricultural sales company, I made up my mind that I wanted to be a farmer.

What couldn’t you go without on the farm?

Sheepdogs, they are worth 10 people when you are gathering especially in places you can’t get the gator to, and they allow you to work sheep by yourself.

What is your favourite time of year and why?

May, lambing is done, cattle are out, crops are growing, and grass should be flying.

What’s the most useful bit of advice you’ve ever been given?

“Control what you can control and don’t worry about the rest. Do what you can in situations and the rest will work itself out” - Doug Avery

Where would you like to see the farm business in 5 - 10 years?

Evolved to be more efficient, being better at what we do and to have a diversified income stream.
