This course is a 3-hour training workshop and a certificate of attendance will be issued on completion of the workshop. Workshops are delivered by local vet practices pan Wales.
Workshop attendees will learn about the lifecycle and clinical signs associated with the main species of roundworm in the UK as well as blowfly strike. The main focus will be on control of these parasites, responsible use of anthelmintics and the importance of veterinary consultation in formulating a parasite control plan for individual farms.
Correct and efficient parasite control will result in increased flock health, productivity and profitability.
