This module describes the maintenance of ewe nutrition and the diagnosis of common metabolic diseases using body condition scoring (BCS).

Schmallenberg virus is transmitted by biting midges and can infect and cause disease in sheep, cattle and goats. Learn how to recognise symptoms, what the risks are and how best to treat and control it.

In this course we cover; Listeriosis - primarily a winter-spring disease, Polioencephalomalacia or Cerebrocortical necrosis (PEM or CCN) - commonly seen in weaned lambs, Coenurosis (Gid) - an uncommon disease of sheep and Vestibular disease (middle ear infections).
