Meet the buyer, category management and commercial skills programme

Meet the buyer

We can help you identify and focus on possible growth options, providing the support to boost sales and profitability by ensuring your products and capabilities meet customer demand.  This could include an impartial analysis of Welsh food businesses and recommendations for addressing key issues.  Tailored mentoring provides advice and guidance on a range of industry related issues across various sectors.

Meet the Buyer

Our Meet the Buyer events with major retailers, wholesalers and Independents, focus on food and drink companies who have both the potential and the ambition for growth. The aim is to strengthen the supply chain by providing an insight into the purchasing requirements of these buyers.  There is a unique opportunity to increase sales and we actively encourage many suppliers to attend these events.

Category Management

To succeed in the market-place, Welsh companies must have an in-depth knowledge of their category so they can offer retailers something which is, better or different or competitively priced  which  customers will want to buy. Our in-depth Category Management analysis will assist in identifying gaps and trends in the market, enabling businesses to evidence their propositions to the major retailers.

Commercial Skills Programme

The purpose of this Programme is to address the skills and competencies gaps among growing companies in Wales to develop and raise standards of professional commercial manufacturing and management within the Welsh food and drink industry.
