Privacy Notice – Food and Drink Wales Insight Conference
Welsh Government ('we') will be the data controller for the personal data you provide to participate in this event and will process it in the exercise of our public task and the official authority vested in us for the administration of the event. We will retain your personal data for one year ending November 2023 after which time it will be securely deleted. Registration for the event will be done through the Eventbrite site, an independent service provider who hold their own Privacy Policy. We recommend providing only your essential personal details to register; name, contact email address and language preferences. To establish you are a Welsh Food and Drink business we will also ask for your Company name and Company address.
We may also your contact details to run a conference evaluation and your personal details may be used for these purposes. We do this to ensure our information is reaching the right customer base and our funding and programs are effective and impactful. If you would prefer us not to do this, please let us know at buddug.turner@gov.wales.
Under the data protection legislation, you have the right:
- to access the personal data the Welsh Government holds on you;
- to require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data
- to (in certain circumstances) object to or restrict processing
- for (in certain circumstances) your data to be 'erased'
- to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) who is our independent regulator for data protection
