With over 150 products from Wales being recognised earlier this year in the prestigious Great Taste awards, the Welsh Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Energy, Planning and Rural Affairs, Lesley Griffiths AM will be hosting a celebration at the St David’s Hotel, Cardiff on Tuesday 6 November 2018.
Presented by broadcaster and Chairman of the Great Taste awards, Nigel Barden, the event takes the format of a showcase to celebrate the producers’ success in 2018, as well as provide a market style Meet the Producer, to display their award winning produce at a national level to food buyers, retailers, media and wider Welsh public life.
Highlights of the event include:
- A one to one opportunity to talk to the Great Taste Welsh winning producers and sample their products, including Caws Teifi Cheese, winner of the Golden Fork from Wales award
- Showcase some of the finest Great Taste food and drink products from across Wales
- Chef demonstrations
A buffet lunch will be provided using the Great Taste award winning products.
There will also be an opportunity to attend a presentation on recent research published on the retail sector in Wales entitled ‘Convenience Retail in Wales’ scheduled for 2.00pm.
