Recruitment is now underway to exhibit with the Welsh Government under the Food and Drink Wales banner at Speciality and Fine Food Fair, London, 1 – 3 September 2019.

Great Taste, the world’s most coveted food and drink awards, has announced its stars of 2019, and a multitude of delicious Welsh food and drink products have been stamped with a gold seal of approval.

Welsh Lady Preserves have been making award winning sweet preserves and savoury condiments for over 50 years, not only filling the shelves here in the UK but reaching supermarkets as far as Japan.

Nine Welsh artisan food and drink companies will be exhibiting under the Food & Drink Wales banner at next month’s Speciality & Fine Food Fair (SFFF) in London, as the event celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Small and medium sized Welsh food and drink businesses are set to benefit from a €1.2 million international project, funded through the Interreg Atlantic Area programme, to help broaden their knowledge and capacity to supply the increased demand for innovative healthy food.

A new report published this week shows that Project HELIX, an initiative developed to boost innovation and efficiency in the Welsh food and drink industry, has already had an impact of over £110 million, since its launch three years ago.

The joint proposals, launched for consultation, aim to create a strong and vibrant sector, globally renowned for its excellence, with one of the most environmentally and socially responsible supply chains in the world. The consultation has been co-designed with the industry.

Welsh food and drink producers will aim to strengthen and build ties with prospective partners and investors as they visit Tokyo, Japan later this week.

Preparations are underway for Welsh food and drink companies to take centre stage later this month at two international trade events. First up is IFE (The International Food & Drink Event), one of the UK’s leading industry events. Taking place 17-20 March at ExCeL in London, this year’s event is billed as a celebration of 1,350 innovative, global and cutting-edge food and drink manufacturers.
