Carbon - Lets Get Greener:

Agriculture and the land-use based sector is one of the biggest influences on climate change globally through greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reductions of natural carbon sinks, however, this sector also offers significant potential for removing atmospheric carbon and storing it in soils/vegetation.

Planting hedgerows and trees will sequester carbon either for long-term storage or used as an alternative to fossil fuels.

Improving soil and livestock management can increase carbon sequestration and reduce the farm's carbon footprint.

Preventing disease coming onto the farm is the cheapest way to control it and prevents the knock-on impacts of disease outbreaks that reduce efficiency and increase GHG emissions.

Reducing fuels and energy consumption on farm not only has an economic benefit but also environmental benefits.
