Mari Morgan Davies

Bwlch-y-fridd, Newtown

Mari  Davies from Bwlch-y-fridd, Newtown is busy studying for her A-levels at Ysgol Bro Caereinion. Mari actively helps with all aspects of the family beef, sheep and poultry farm but has a particular interest in the South Country Cheviot flock, where she regularly purchases and sells her own ewe lambs.

Beyond her studies and farm interests, Mari is a keen sportswoman and plays for Llanfair Ladies Hockey team as well as the North Wales Ladies under 18s team. Mari is also a member of Tregynon YFC where she came second in the poultry jointing competition at the Winter Fair in 2023.

Looking ahead, Mari’s aspirations are to study Veterinary Science at university and to ultimately qualify as a Veterinary Surgeon. She would like to work abroad to gain experience before returning to Wales to potentially combine veterinary practice with supporting the family farm. Another goal of hers is to develop her own flock of pedigree South Country Cheviot sheep.
